Rethink Aesthetics & Wellness (“Rethink”, “we”) operates rethinkaesthetics.com and the practice at 496 Plandome Road, Manhasset, NY 11030. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it and the choices you have. Health information you share with us as a patient is protected separately under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, available at the office.

Information we collect

  • Contact and newsletter forms: the name, email address, phone number, topic and message you enter, whether you agreed to receive text messages, the page you sent the form from and your IP address, which we use only to limit spam.
  • Online booking: the name, phone number, email address and appointment time you enter on our online booking page, which is operated for us by our website and scheduling service provider.
  • Calls and texts: when you call or text (516) 464-0057 we keep your number and the content of the conversation so we can respond and manage your appointments.
  • Website use: standard server logs and, where enabled, analytics cookies such as Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, which record pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you by name.
  • Reviews: the reviews shown on the site are public Google reviews displayed through the Trustindex widget.

How we use it

To answer your questions, schedule and confirm appointments, send appointment reminders and aftercare instructions, send the newsletter you subscribed to, keep the website secure and understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Text messages

By providing your phone number and checking the consent box on our contact form, or by texting us first, you agree to receive text messages from Rethink Aesthetics & Wellness about your request and your appointments. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of a purchase or a treatment.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the service providers who operate our messaging on our behalf.

Medical information

Please do not send medical records, photographs or detailed health information through the website forms; they are meant for general questions and scheduling. Health information collected at your consultation and during treatment is part of your medical record and is protected under HIPAA and New York law. We use it to provide care and share it only with your consent or as the law allows.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the practice and the website (scheduling, email, website hosting, text messaging and analytics providers), each bound to use it only for the service they provide, and when the law requires it or the safety of a patient or staff member depends on it.

Cookies

The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work and, where enabled, analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

Retention and security

Messages and newsletter sign-ups are kept while we need them to respond to you or until you ask us to delete them. Medical records are kept for the period required by New York law. Information is stored on secured systems with access limited to the people who need it for their work.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter through the link in any email, opt out of texts by replying STOP, and ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing rethinkaesthetics@gmail.com. Requests about medical records follow the HIPAA process described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children

The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Treatments are provided to adults; patients under 18 need a parent or guardian present.

Third-party links

The site links to Instagram, Google Maps and our scheduling page. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave our site.

Changes and contact
